Description
A fascinating site located 106 miles away from Mazatlan on the border with Durango State. This will be an enjoyable drive on the super highway Mzt/Dgo towards the state of Durango, with incredible landscape views of mountains and pine trees that enrich the journey.
Travelers from all over the world visit this region of Mexico due to its amazing beauty. Get ready to enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of deep canyons (8000 feet deep), surrounded by lush vegetation resembling a green carpet covering hills and mountainsides.
Once in Durango State, we will proceed to visit Mexiquillo. Here, we will explore the mysterious Valley of the Stones, which resembles a pre-Hispanic city with huge stones and rocks placed one above the other like giant totems, preserved over centuries.
Afterward, get ready to view the marvelous Mexiquillo waterfall (60 feet deep); this cascade crosses one of the old railroad tunnels built in 1960, although not in use nowadays. We highly recommend not missing this fantastic trip, designed to leave unforgettable memories with all its visitors.
