Description
A great recommended tour through scenic mountains and countryside. We will visit The Baluarte Bridge, the highest cable-stayed bridge in the world, the third-highest bridge overall and the highest bridge in the American Continent, according to officials from Guinness World Records. Take the best photos of the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains. Also, enjoy going through the second longest and smartest tunnel in Mexico named “El Sinaloense”.
The bridge is officially called the Baluarte Bicentennial Bridge. Bicentennial refers to the 200th anniversary of Mexico's independence from Spain in 1810. Built at a height of 403m, the bridge structure is supported by nine bridge piers and two pylons. There are 152 suspenders, of which the main span measures 520m in length. The tour also includes a visit to the village of Mesillas, a little town with several handmade furniture factories.
